Mrs. Mary Schetter, 88, of 419 Park Ave. passed away at home Thursday afternoon after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Kewaunee, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Karl, on March 15, 1870, and was married there to Joseph Schetter in 1891. The couple resided in St. Wendel for several years and then came to Sheboygan about 60 years ago.
Mr. Schetter died in 1916. She was a faithful member of Holy Name Parish.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Edward (Bertha) Amann,
Mrs. Charles (Louise) Ullrich, Mrs. Harvey (Gertrude) Koehler and Mrs. William (Clarice)Fistler, all of Sheboygan, Mrs. Ervin (Katherine) Paasch, Chicago, and Mrs. Andrew (Leona)Olsen, in Florida; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband, five brothers, three sisters, one daughter and a son.
Funeral services will be held Saturday with a requiem high
mass at 9 a.m. at Holy Name Church, following brief family
rites at 8:30 at Gerend's Funeral Home. Father Anthony J.
Knackert will be the celebrant,and burial will take place on the family lot in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3pm today until hour of services. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home this evening at 7 o'clock.
