George W. Brown was the father of Barbra Brown Spivey who owned the plots where he is buried. Also in this plot area are his son, F. J. Brown, William J. Spivey (son of Barbara Brown Spivey), Jane Waller Spivey (mother-in-law of Barbara Brown Spivey), and George Stewart Easterly. The two Georges Brown and Easterly were neighbors, originally from Marion County, TN, who had been living in Darysaw Township, Jefferson County, AR from 1850. Barbra Brown Spivey ran the Alamo House boarding house in Hot Springs, AR after her husband, Wesley Augustus "Gus" Spivey left and remarried.
