A resident of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Va. died at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, N.Y from complications of a liver transplant. Garry earned a bachelor's and master's degrees at James Madison University and served two years in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed accountant.

He was a co-founder of the Kid's Station Day Care at Mary Washington Hospital and was the founder of Lil' Rascals Day Care Center in Virginia Beach. His hobbies included antique cars and singing.

At the time of death Garry was survived by his wife, Dr. Rebecca Bailey Marcus and a son of Fredericksburg; his parents, Havard and Belva Marcus of Brandy
Wine Station, Va; a twin brother of Herndon, Va; a brother of Longmont, Colo; and a sister of Charlotte, NC.

The memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Found & Sons Funeral Home, Fredericksburg with the Rev. W. Carlin Dempsey officiating and his burial was private. The family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m . prior to the service. The family requested that contributions be made to Mary Washington Hospital Foundation, Snowden Farm, Fredericksburg, VA.
