Biography: She completed her high school studies in Kansas City, Missouri. She then enlisted in the United States Navy where she served during World War II in Corpus Christi, Texas. While stationed in Corpus Christi, she met and married John William Prieshoff. The couple moved to Alexandria where she became a homemaker and resided the rest of her life. Arlene was a longtime member of the Church of St. Mary at Alexandria. She was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with politics and current events.

Funeral Service Time and Day: A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the Church of St. Mary at Alexandria, 812 West Madison Street
Officiating: Rev. Fr. Paul W. Cochran-officiant
Interment: Will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Alexandria with military honors provided by the Elwood VFW 5782 Honors Team
Visitation: Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria from 10 am to 12:15 pm. A Rosary Service at 12:15 will close the visitation hours prior to leaving for the funeral mass.
Memorial Contributions: May be made to the Church of Saint Mary Building Fund through the funeral home.
