Jackie Lee "Jack" Driver, 68, of Third Street in Broadway, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Driver was born July 19, 1935, in Tenth Legion, and was a son of his Mother who survives and the late Harry E. Driver.

He was employed at SYSCO Foods of Virginia before retiring. He was a member of the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren, where he was a deacon and an usher. He was also a member of the Men's Fellowship and managed the church softball team.

Mr. Driver served on the Broadway Planning Committee for eight years and was treasurer for the Historical Bottle Diggers of Virginia. He was an avid sportsman and hunter.
On Feb. 13, 1965, he married the former Ms. Driver, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

The Rev. Robbie Miller will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday at the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren in Broadway.

A private burial will be in the Linville Creek Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
