Mother Aida Maria, S.S.J., principal of St. Michael's School, 2nd and Jefferson sts., died Thursday in St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of the School Sisters of St. Joseph for 56 years, and taught in area parochial schools for 54 years. A native of Philadelphia, Mother Aida Maria was educated at the Mount St. Joseph's in Chestnut Hill, Villanova University and Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. Among the schools she served as teacher or principal were St. Mary's Academy and Mother of Sorrows School here; Immaculate Conception School of Allentown, and St. Mary's School of Lebanon. Requiem Mass will be sung in the mother house chapel at Mount St. Joseph's. Surviving are two sisters, Margaret McHugh and Mrs. Ann Snyder. --
