"Altha Elizabeth Johnson, 74, of Bozeman, died Wednesday at the Mountain View Care Center. She was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Bozeman, the daughter of John and Ivene (Neal) Johnson. She attended Bozeman schools. Altha worked at Woolworths for 31 years and retired in 1978. She received an award from Woolworth's for 25 years of service. Altha enjoyed such handiwork as embroidery and taking care of plants. She liked being with children, her family and people. Survivors include one brother, Lee Johnson of Kaysville, Utah, and 6 sisters, Lucile House of Bremerton, WA, Darlene Quist and Juanita Ross, both of Bozeman, Betty Parks of Poulsbo, WA, Beth Cheney of Walnut, CA, and Lannis Hodge of Manhattan. Altha was preceeded in death by a sister, Helen Norma Gene and 4 brothers, Cecil, Archie, Bill and Ellery. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements."
