    Vernon W. Amundson
Age 78 years. Late of Elwood, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2000 in Joliet.
    Born July 4, 1922 in New Rome, WI to the late Charles and Frances Amundson.
    WW II Army Veteran, retired engineer with Caterpillar. Member of the Channahon Methodist Church, V.F.W. Stone City Post, Joliet, Harwood Post American Legion, 40 & 8 of the Legion. Member of the Model Railroad Association and N.R.A.
    Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Earlene; three sons: Earl of Elwood, IL, Jerry Lee of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Arley V. (Patricia) of Joliet; a daughter, Regina Harris of Elwood; a sister, Nova Angelo of California; two grandsons: Robert and Buddy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Henry and William; a sister, Garnet.
    Visitation will be at the Reeves Funeral Home, Wilminton, on Thursday, December 21, 2000 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 22 at 10 a.m. Rev. Gavin Brant officiating.
    Interment Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Joliet. Memorials to Channahon Methodist Church appreciated.
