-- ROCK HILL - Mr. Larry Eugene Clinton Sr., 61, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the pastor Kenny Vinson officiating. Burial will be Laurelwood Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Clinton was a son of the late William Clinton and the late Inez Wright Clinton. He was a retired law enforcement officer with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office; a life member of the American Legion and the VFW; and a member of the State Trooper's Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah A. Clinton of the home; his son, Larry Clinton Jr of Rock Hill; his daughters, Denise Taylor and her husband, Ken, of York, Michelle Garner of Rock Hill and Stefanie Clinton and her husband, Chris, of Edgemoor; his sister, Cathy Clinton of York; and six grandchildren, Paige Garner, Cameron Clinton, Deven Sanders, Ryder Tant, Max Taylor and Georgia Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Honor Guard, PO Box 2745 CRS, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
