He was born in Manningham,Yorkshire,England and attended schools there. He came to Clark Mills in 1914. He married Ruth Ferry here in 1917.
Mr Bentley was employed by the Hinds and Harrison Plush Co.for more than 30 years and later worked for the Juilliard Co.He retired from there in 1958.
He was a member of St.Mark's Episcolpal Church and was a past member of the Clark Mills Odd Fellows. He served overseas with the Canadian Army during World War 1.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter,Mrs James(Dorothy)Wester,Madison:two sisters,Mrs Harry(Mary Elizabeth)Bland and Miss Rose Bentley ,both of Yorkshire,England and a brother,Thomas,Clark Mills.
Burial in Glenside Cemetery,New York Mill next spring.
