ANDERSON — Charles Edwin McConnell Sr., 82, of Anderson, passed away April 17, 2010, at Community Hospital Anderson, after a brief illness.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1927, in Anderson, and was a lifelong Anderson resident.
He graduated from Ball State University with bachelor's and master's degrees.
He was a retired school teacher from Wilson Middle School in Muncie.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
He is survived . . ..
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Virginia McConnell; his first wife, Irene McConnell; and a daughter, Ruth J. McConnell.
The family has chosen cremation. There will be no service nor visitation.
