Pierce Conley, 73, well-known resident of Magoffin
County,died in a local hospital Sunday,Sepember 5 1954,following an illness of a few days.

Born July 2, 1881,he was the son of the later William and Mahala Caudill Conley.He was a resident of Swamp Branch at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife,Ellene Blanton Conley,two sons,Lindsey Conley,Stockbridge,Mich.,Lonza Conley,Swamp Branch;two daughters,Mrs.Curt May,Riceville,and Mrs.Edgar Caudill,Swamp Branch.
Other survivors include five brothers,Frank Conley,Cattlettsburg;Elzie Conley,Jim Conley,Dona Conley and Burna Conley,all of Falcon; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Conley,Falcon; Mrs. Mary Borders, Flatwoods; Mrs.Ida Jackson,Idaho,Ohio.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday at the Riceville Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs.Scott Castle and Wee Caudill officiating.
Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet.
Burial was made in the Bayes Cemetery under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
