Papie was the daughter of Col William M and Mary Elizabeth Terrill Quayle. She never married. She was a school teacher all of her life.

Mrs H. H. Denny, 1408 Euclid Ave, Berkley, Calif, the former Miss Maude Quayle of Moberly, has written to Moberly friends of the death of her sister Miss Papie L. Quayle. Miss Quayle died May 29 in Berkeley where she was living with Mrs. Denny.

She was the daughter of William and Mary E. Terrill Quayle and was born in 1866 in Rio Verde, Mexico. She was educated in Tennessee and taught in Moberly schools, later teaching for many years in the State Teacher's College in Warrensburg and in St. Cloud, Minn.

Beside Mrs. Denny, she is survived by two brothers, James and Jack Quayle, both of California. The Quayle family lived here for many years on South Williams street.
