Mrs.Peggy May,85,resident of Leander,died at the Castle Fork Rest Home at 12:30p.m.Wednesday,SEPTEMBER 18,after a brief illness.
The daughter of the late Frank and Labasha Adams Risner,she was born in Magoffin County April 4 1878,and had resided at Leander most of her life. She was a member of the Church of God.
Her first marriage was to Wiley Slone who preceded her in death.She was later married to Frank May who also preceded her in death February 23,1937.
Survivors included two sons,Taylor slone;Elmer May,Leander;four daughters Mrs.Mary Bradford,Silver Lake,Indiana;Mrs.Grace Shepherd and Mrs.Josephine Fitchatrick,Leander;Mrs.Lula Bayes,SwampBranch,
thirty-one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conucted at 11:00 a.m.Saturday at the Riceville Freewill Baptist Church with Charlie LeMaster,Adam Marshall and Powell Collins Jr.,as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Swamp Branch.
