for several years. He was sick with Lung Cancer.
Dad served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946,and served on 3 ships, the USS Finch, the USS Hank, and the USS Flaherty the Destroyer Escort DE 135. Dad helped capture the German
Submarine U-Boat 505, and got a medal for capturing the sub.
My dad worked at Container Corporation of America in Fernandina Beach, Florida for 13 years, and he was a
TV Technician in Fernandina Beach, Florida and all of
(Nassau County) for 35 years.
He died of Asbestos Lung Disease.
