Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2008 at Sandy Drain Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Estill, SC.
Mr. Crapse was born January 1, 1944 in Estill, SC, a son of Otis J. Crapse, Sr., and Edna Smith Crapse. He was a retired pipefitter and member of Sandy Drain Primitive Baptist Church in Estill, SC. He was a US Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Crapse; one son, Otis J. Crapse, III and his wife, Dina; one daughter, Cecilia Aumen and her husband Darrin, all of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren, Sarah Crapse, Ricki Hughes, Matthew Aumen, Tyler Aumen, all of Summerville, SC, Christopher Aumen of Norfolk, VA; and four sisters, Joan Connelley of Hampton, SC, Carolyn Sheider of Orangeburg, SC, Brenda Crapse of Bradenton, FL, Ginger Cote of Hampton, SC. Mr. Crapse was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Bobbie Sykes.
