Mrs. Butcher had been a Salina resident since 1921. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to United Transportation Union.
Her husband, Walter, died in 1968. Survivors included a daughter, Nancy L. Mitchell; a brother, Charles Sexton; three sisters, Lena Simms, Lula Duncan and Martha Richardson; and three grandchildren.
