Winnie's mothers name was Malinda(Lindy)Smith Buck. She is buried some where in or near Russellville, Logan Co. Ky. So far unable to find it
Winnie was a real sweet person and she helped raise some of her grandchildren. One of her granddaughters Maude Lefever
Parsley wrote a small book for the family telling of the stories of her parents, brothers and sisters and her grandparents James. The grand children the brothers and sisters grew up to be the Gospel singing group The Lefevers.
Mammy carded her own wool and spun it to make clothes for her family . She put food of every kind ,and worked the fields along the side of her husband.
Her father fought in the Mexican war and the civil war. she married Pappy James after the Civil war.
