Funeral services for Peggy Louise Cantrell, age 70, of The Woodlands will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Keith Rose officiating. Interment with a graveside service will follow the chapel service at 3 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Center, Texas. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Peggy was born February 19, 1940 in Wanette, Oklahoma and passed away on April 17, 2010 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Cantrell; father, Frank Schumacher; mother, Lillian Parnell; step-father, John Parnell; son, Doug Effinger; brothers, Gene Schumacher and Bill Schumacher; sister, Linda; step-daughter, Iris Gregg; step-sons, William, Denton and Riley Cantrell; and great grandsons, David Mercer and Toby Jack Cantrell. Peggy is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Stokes and Jeanene Butler; sister-in-law, Corky Schumacher; sons, Robert (Laurie) Effinger, Garry (Cindy ) Effinger and James (Debra) Effinger; daughter, Charly (Lee) Cantrell-Tidwell; step-daughter, Ann (Bill) Peters; step son-in-law, Robert Gregg; and 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be James Cantrell, Lee Tidwell, Ariyan Kelley, Jeremy Effinger, Olivier Sopena and Jimmy Schumacher.
