He is survived by his wife, Shari (nee Wheeler) Andrews and daughter, Kira, age 2. He is also survived by his father, Marvin (Linda) Andrews; sister, Lora Andrews; in-laws, George and Lynda Wheeler, Dyan (Jason) Quilter; three nieces, Alyssa, Brynn and Kayla Quilter; many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn (Griffin) Andrews, sister Tina Andrews, grandparents, and Nabisco, the family pet.
Burt graduated Salutatorian from Thomas Edison Jr/Sr. High School in Lake Station in 1992. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from IU Northwest in 1998. He was employed at Aristo Inc. in Hobart, IN since 2002 as an Analytical Chemist/Lab Supervisor.
Throughout Burt's illness he continued to help Aristo work towards many goals including the recent completion of ISO 14001:2004 certification. He also spent time with his family enjoying two incredible years with his daughter Kira.
Memorial service will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, Hobart, corner of Rte. 51 and 7th St. Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) from 11a.m.to 1 p.m., time of service, on Saturday.
Cremation will precede the visitation and service. Services will terminate at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family will be appreciated.
