Inez E. Bechtel, 87, of Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, Indiana, passed away at 2 p.m. Friday after an extended illness.
She was a former school teacher, having taught for 48 years in Indiana and Ohio. She was a graduate of Ohio University.
Born Oct. 24, 1896 in Glouster, Ohio, she had lived in Indiana since 1959, coming from Newark, Ohio.
She was married to Harvey G. Bechtel, who passed away in December of 1950.
Inez is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Yoho of West Mansfield, Ohio; and three sisters. Mrs. Frances McDaniel of North Liberty, Ind., Mrs. Virginia Snepp and Mrs. Phyllis Mikeshell, both of Nokomis Fla…
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the North Liberty Church of Christ, with Rev. Charles Richmond, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home in North Liberty.
Inez was a member of the church, a Bible school teacher and the church organist.
