"Robert E. Reublin, one of our "greatest generation" grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio, son of Forest F. Reublin (1897 - 1924) and Maude Walworth Reublin (1895 - 1962.) Robert married Bessie Lee Grace (1920 - 1996.) Robert was an engineer aboard B-17 # 42-31630 which departed RAF Station Alconbury (still active) on February 20, 1945 and crashed on takeoff (or landing) killing Sgt Reublin and the rest of the crew of ten. He is survived by a son, Michael (1942 - .) Sgt. Reublin is one of the thousands who gave their life protecting our freedom and eliminating the evil of the Third Reich. He is a national hero. He is buried in Ashtabula's historic Chestnut Grove Cemetery."
