Betty Sue Porter, 78, passed away Friday at her home in Arlington.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 101 N.E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Betty was born July 27, 1931 in Bosque County to Frank and Ruby Turner. She was married 37 years to the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Porter. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother that was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a beloved area elementary school teacher where she spent 32 years guiding lives of many children.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Mary Milam, Dr. Ladi Haroona, Dr. Amir Malik and all their staff for the gentle care they provided.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by son, Scott Porter and wife, Amber of Lipan; daughters, Suzanne Vorhies and husband, Brad of Arlington, and Jill Beckham and husband, Brad of Arlington; grandchildren, Taylor, Jordyn, Erika, Alexis, and Johnathan; sisters, Rose Rhodes of New Ulm and Janice Tankersley of Waco.
