Found Peace after a lengthy, courageous battle with various ailments on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the age of 72 years. Best wife possible for 54 years to Joe.
Loving and giving mom of Julie (Joel) Haeberlin, Jacki (Steven) Campbell, Cory Stanke, and Cal (Debbie) Stanke.
Cherished grandma (according to age) of Anna (Dave), Mark, Daniel, Joseph, Jason, Michael (Dakota), Julia, Nathan, Jennifer, Phillip, Susanna, Lydia, and Tyler.
Sister of Patsy (Don) Boerner, Patrick, Ronnie (Dixie), Connie, Larry, Dennis, John (Judi), and Greg (Barb).
Daughter-in-law of Ruth "Jerry: Stanke.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

When she was stronger and her health was better, Kathy enjoyed bowling, working in her vegetable garden, and planting flowers, bushes and trees all around the property; baking all kinds of terrific desserts, and cooking. She took great pride in preparing wonderful meals for family and friends. Kathy took courses at Waukesha County Technical College for Chinese cooking, Cantonese cooking, and cake decorating. She worked part-time for Grace Smock's Gracious Hosts catering. As much as she loved to cook, she loved to eat and especially enjoyed real whole milk, real butter and real ice cream.

Kathy enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren and making other handy crafts for around the house, attended many art shows both for and with her husband who is an artist, and loved her time with her 13 grandchildren watching them play, watching them grow, and listening to them.

Visitation will be Monday, March 22 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 West National Avenue, New Berlin, from 1-3:45 PM. Funeral Service 4 PM. The family would appreciate everyone to wear something "yellow", in honor of their mother's favorite color.

The family wishes to thank St. Mary's Hospital for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
