Dr. William G. Butler, of Clifty, died suddenly yesterday morning of heart failure. He was seventy-two years and a member of the Masonic lodge.

Dr. William G. Butler was born March 1, 1822. He died November 12, 1895. He was married to Matilda Patrick August 8, 1847. Five children were born unto them, all but one of whom still survive.

May 10, 1891, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Starnes. One child blessed this union. The wife and child survive him. He was a loving husband, a kind father and a good neighbor. He leaves a host of friends and relatives but their loss is his gain. He was a member of the M.E. church, of Milford.
