Mrs. W. Ray (Mary L.) Davis, 82, 421 N. 2nd, Seminole, died Thursday at the Seminole Muncipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction os Swearingen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis was born November 4, 1900 in Eagle Rock, Va. She moved to Oklahoma in 1908 and settled at Calera. A graduate of Southeastern State Coolege, she taught school until 1927.

She married Willard Ray Davis June 6, 1925 at the First Baptist Church in Enid. She taught at Pond Creek High School for serveral years, and she and Mr. Davis operated the Pond Creek Herald which they later purchased. After selling the Pond Creek Herald, Mr. and Mrs. Davis moved to Pauls Valley. They came to Seminole in 1938. They bought the Printing and Office Supplly Business which they owned up until three years ago.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Baptist Church. She began teaching Sunday School in 1916 and was teaching an adult class up until the time of her death. She was alos active in the Business and Professional Women's Club and had served in the organization in all capacities.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by both of her children, Donald Leroy Davis and Betty Ruth Davis. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Willard Ray Davis of the home; one sister Ina Fees, Stillwater; and three brothers, A.H. Honts, Calera, OK., John Honts, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Frank Honts, Portland, Ore.

Pallbearers will be James Chiders, Vernon Mullen, Howard Miller, Bob Whitten, and Clarence Clark.
