He was born on November 2, 1936 in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Alton Morris and Jimmie Kate Pittman Bryan.
He was a veteran of the National Guard having served his country for 6 years. He graduated from Western High School in Welcome, Georgia in 1955. For many years Mr. Bryan enjoyed deer and turkey hunting as well as fishing. His passion; however, was plant and flower gardening.
Mr. Bryan was a mentor to the residents of Victory Home and built the home a nursery and taught the residents how to plant and flower garden. He was the owner and operator of Bryan Surge Dairy for many years and operator of the Green Acres Nursery. He loved his family and friends and was loved by all who knew him. He was a Baptist by faith.
