Christian Scherer, 90, a retired farmer, of 916 East Butler Street, passed away at his home at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening. Mr. Scherer had been in failing health for several months.
He is survived by his wife, Dicie, and the following children: Mrs. Leila Schahrer of
Bakersfield, California, Mrs. Edna Scherer of R. R. 4, OIney, Mr. Byron Scherer of LaFayette, California and Ray Bernard Scherer, San Fernando, California, one brother, Frank Scherer of OIney also survives, and nine grandchildren and eleven great-grand
children.
Visitation and funeral services for Mr. Scherer will be held in the chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home with Pastor Earl M. Fritz officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill cemetery.
It has been requested by the family that any memorials be given to the Trinity Lutheran
Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Scherer.
