Death Of Old Veteran

George A. Black Passes Away at the Age of 84 Years

George A. Black, an old time resident of this section, died yesterday at the Bishop Randall Hospital.

George Black was 84 years of age and he served through the Civil War in the 1st Rhode Island Infantry. Mr. Black worked for many sheep men in this section, and for the past many years has lived with Captain Nickerson. He had many friends in Fremont County.

George Black who was taken to the hospital last Saturday, died of pneumonia on Thursday.

The deceased was a member of the G. A. R., and had passed the four score mark. He was a familiar figure in Lander for many years. The local post will have charge of the funeral.
