J M Nix Passes Away at local hospital at 7 pm Tuesday

JM Nix, 68 years old, of Weatherford, died at a local hospital Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock, following an illness of about a year. J. M. Nix was born in Alabama, March 10, 1877, and his family moved to Texas when he was a child, settling near Eastland, in Eastland County. After his marriage, he moved to Weatherford and had since lived continuously in Weatherford, up to the time of his death. He was a devout Christian, having united with the Baptist Church at an early age. He was married to Bernena Fish, Dec 18, 1898. She survives her husband, together with the following children: Mrs. Charlie Beck, Ranger, Texas; Mrs. Luther Hudson; Rupert Nix; A. L. Nix; Mrs. Joe McGill and Mrs. Olbern Moon, all of Weatherford; five grandchildren, Corvis Beck and Maxine Beck of Ranger; Mrs. Billy Roy Snow, Vaughn McGill and Milton Moon of Weatherford and one great grandchild, Ardie Beck of Ranger and one brother, John H. Nix of Eastland. The funeral services will be held from the North Side Baptist Church, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the pastor, Rev. G. W. Bales officiating, assisted by Rev. Truman L. Crouch, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment will take place in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. The following will be pallbearers: Chas. Osborn, J. N. Ward, Victor Grable, T. H. Jackson, W. H. Wester, and Leo Prichard. Honorary all of his many friends.
