BROCK FUNERAL IS HELD MONDAY
Early Day of Settler of Erick, Sayre Territory Dies Saturday Night
After Long Illness
Bert L. Brock, died Saturday night at his home, 207 North Eighth Street, after a six months illness.
Mr. Brock had been a resident of Sayre and Erick since 1906 when he came to this territory from Tennessee. He formerly was an employee of the Rock Island railway company and also was a farmer in later years.
His wife preceded him in death 25 years ago.
He is survived by two sons, Jesse and Orville, one daughter, Mrs. Maudie Shockley, and four grandchildren, Jesse Burroughs; Lola Mae Cummings; Leota Brock, and Mrs. Jack McKennon, all of Sayre. One brother and one sister also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Assembly of God church, with Rev. J.L. Davis officiating.
Burial was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery by the Littrell-Scroggins funeral home.
