Leland Herchel Windham, age 77 died at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS, on Friday, April 23, 2010.
He was born July 28, 1932 to the late Thomas O. Windham and Maude Benefield Windham.
Herchel was a Baptist.
He worked at General Motors in Pontiac, MI; and was the Owner and Operator of Windham Motors.
He served as a Tippah County Constable, and worked as a Tippah County Jailer.
He served in the National Guard.
Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, April 26, 2010 at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jerry Owen and Bro. Steve Cohea officiating.
Burial will be in New Prospect Presbyterian Cemetery.
He is survived by his Wife, Judith Windham of Ripley; three Daughters, Diane Windham Mathis and Husband, Keith, of Walnut; Cathy Cline Lee and Husband, Mike, of Aurora, CO; and Christy Cline Kennedy and Husband, John, of Ripley; one Son Craig Cline and Wife, Michelle, of Collierville, TN; one Sister, Jamie Windham Brock and Husband, Harold, of Clarkston, MI; twelve Grandchildren, Cierra Cohea, Brice Cohea, Cody Mathis, David Lee, Stephen Lee, Leighton Cline, Chelsea Cline, Kevin Kennedy, Preston Cline, Dylan Cline, Devon Cline, and Brennan Cline; four Great Grandchildren, Curt Cohea, Cheyenne Cline, Lexi Beard, and Hannah Beard; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Davis Windham; his Parents; one Great-Granddaughter, Charleigh Grace Cline; one Brother; and three Sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Ripley Funeral Home.
