Elizabeth's huband, Jeremiah Leavitt Libbey, was a shoemaker in Lynn, Massachusetts and acquired a great bit of wealth with his store, “J.L. Libbey & Son.” Their eldest son, Charles Henry Libbey owned and operated his own shoemaking company - "C. H. Libbey & Co."

Their younger sons, Walter and Everette, ended up taking over that business for their father and running it while Charles ran his separate operation.

Jeremiah and Elizabeth had at least five children:

Charles Henry Libbey (1854-1940)
Walter Manning Libbey (1858-1941)
Everette E. Libbey (1861 - 1944)
Edith Mabel Libbey Blanchard (1868-1942)
Sarah E. Libbey (1874 - unknown)

Their four younger children and spouses are buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA - Charles and his wife Ella Augusta Howe Libbey moved to Cotuit in Barnstable County, Massachusetts and are buried with their only child: Claudia Elizabeth Libbey Hains Bolles and her husband Reginald Fairfax Bolles, in the Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
