Farmed in Iowa for a while; operated a hardware store there, then returned to Chicago. Father of Edna Marie Christine (Andersen) Fink, Alma (Andersen) Webb, Gladys Irene Andersen (did not marry), Ruth Constance Andersen (did not marry), Ester (Andersen) Pfab, Agnes (Andersen) Tjaden, and Alice Lucille and Alice Dorothy Andersen (both died as infants).
