Mrs. Lydia Beitz, age 79, a former Brownsville area and Lomira resident died Monday at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.

Born March 4, 1892 at Lomira, she is the daughter of William and Louise Friedrich Priest. She married Otto Beitz on November 9, 1910 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lomira.
Mrs. Beitz was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society at Brownsville. She and Otto farmed near Brownsville until his death in 1954. She continued to reside on the farm until 1958 when she moved to Lomira.

Survivors include her children, Vernon and Mrs. Lester Kietzer both of Lomira, Lester of Brownsville and Ruben of Oak Park, Ill; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edward Gross of Watertown; and two brothers, Albert Priest of Lomira and Clarence Priest of Milwaukee. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beitz was preceded in death by a sister and her brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Brownsville, Pastor Paul Huth officiating and burial followed at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Brownsville.
