Last Saturday there went southward on the Sonora railway train, Mrs. C.A. Ament, of Deming, New Mexico, summoned to Culiacan by the sudden death of her husband, which sad event occurred in the capital city of Sinaloa on Thursday of last week. Wednesday Mrs. Ament received a telegram conveying the intelligence that her husband was very ill. She made hurried preparations to go to his bedside, and as she was boarding the train at Deming Thursday morning there was handed to her a telegram announcing that he had just died. The deceased gentleman was well and widely known in New Mexico, Arizona and Sonora.
