Old Settler Of Fremont Dead
Death Claims John C. Burnet, Aged 68
Lander, Wyo., Nov. 21. -(AP)- John C. Burnet, 68, one of the oldest settlers on the Indian reservation near here, died today after an operation. He was a prominent Mason and had been connected with the government irrigation bureau at Wind River where he lived for 48 years.
Although well known by many in Casper, the deceased has no relatives in Casper nor anywhere in the Rocky Mountain region, so far as is known.
"I knew John Burnet quite well, in fact worked with him back in the '90s," Dr. W. B. Gurnett, Casper optometrist said last night. "He is no relation."
