On Jan 24, 1918, he married Rose L. Zlabek, daughter of one of the first Czech fammilis to come to the Merrill-Malin area.
Mr. Barrows was a retired farmer and had lived in the Coburg area since 1933, and was a member of the West Point Grange.
He is survived by the widow, Rose, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Warden of Veneta and mrs. Lucile Riegelman of Eugne; son, Robert of Tulelake; brother T.A. Barrows, Adin, Calif; also 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the cahpel of Murphy Fuenral Homes with interment at the Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg.
