Daughter of Peter and Caroline Bausano Picchiottino, Richetta was one of 12 children, with only 5 surviving to adulthood. She was born in Kearsarge (Wolverine Mine) north of Calumet Michigan, and moved with her family to Gary Indiana about 1920. She met her husband Charley Dugo when he drove his brother Tom and his new wife Della to Gary, so Della could visit with Richetta who was her grade school girlfriend. Richetta and Charley married 11 Mar 1925, on the spur of the moment..Charley returning from Chicago the following weekend to collect her and her belongings. Together they raised 2 children, Charlie Jr and Kathleen. They made their home in Chicago until about 1975 when they bought a condo and moved to Palatine. Charley passed in 1983, and Richetta continued to live in Palatine until she passed one week before her 96th birthday.
