Mrs. Anna Christina Lange, wife of Frank Lange, died at her home, 4 ½ miles northeast of Raymond on Sunday morning at 4:15 o’clock, at the advanced age of 60 years, 1 month and 16 days, after a prolonged illness.
Her maiden name was Anna Christina Uppenbrink; she was born August 30, 1851, at Brockwede, Westphalia. On September 26, 1873, in the village of Aplerbeck near Dortmund she was married to Frank Lange. Five years later, she in company with her husband came to American, landing in New York in the year 1878 and moved near Harvel, residing there until the time of her demise.
She was the mother of seven children by this union: Caroline, born Aug. 15, 1875 (Mrs. C. Nack); Minnie, born November 26, 1879; Josephine, born February 23, 1882; John Joseph, born Oct. 28, 1883; Frank Joseph, born Feb. 23, 1885; Henry, born July 18, 1889; Frank Conrad, born Sept. 14, 1891.
She was a member of St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, at which place the funeral was held Tuesday morning, Oct. 17, Rev. Fr. Oppenheim, officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in St. Raymond’s Cemetery. The community in general extended sympathy to the bereaved in their hour of trouble.
