Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Uplinger of Whitesburg died Saturday, March 11, 1950, at 2:50 p.m., in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Yount, Shelocta, RD1.

Mrs. Uplinger was aged 80 years, one month and 15 days, having been born Jan. 26, 1870, in Plumcreek township, a daughter of the late Shirlie and Margaret McMillen.

She was a member of the Whitesburg Methodist church.

Surviving are one son, Jacob Uplinger, Jr., of Erie; two daughters, Mrs. George Terwilliger of Erie and Mrs. Charles Yount, Shelocta RD1; one brother, Madison McMillen, Kittanning RD1; six grandchildren; one step grandchild and one step great grandchild. Her husband, Jacob Uplinger, Sr., and three sons, precede her in death.

Friends were received in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Yount, Shelocta RD, until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, when the body was taken to the Whitesburg Methodist church where friends paid their respects until 2:30 o'clock. Funeral services were in charge of Rev. P.W. Large. Burial was in Whitesburg Methodist cemetery.
