Clarence Howard Clark was an art and book collector, businessman and son of the Philadelphia banker Enoch W. Clark. He was president of the First National Bank, senior member of the banking house of E. W. Clark and Co., and a founder and first vice president of Fidelity Trust Company.
Clark was president of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society, Academy of the Fine Arts as well as serving on the Board of Trustees of the Free Libraries of the City of Philadelphia, and a member of the Union League Club.
