George Edwin Henry Theiss (1894 – 1975). Born Oakland, Alameda, California, died Arcadia, Los Angeles, California. The Reverend Theiss was a son of John George Theiss (1861 – 1931) and Magdalena M "Lena" Bahls (1864 – 1943). In June, 1917 George attended Concordia Seminary in St Louis, Missouri starting 5 Jun 1917. He was a student of Theology. Theology is the study of a god or the study of religious faith, practice, and experience, or of spirituality. Theology belongs in institutions Higher Education primarily as a form of professional training for Christian Ministry. After receiving his degree at age 26 in 1920 the reverend spent some time in Eugene, Oregon and later relocated back to California and dedicated his life to the church.

Husband of Emma B Ristous 1899 – 1969. They were married in 1921 in Oakland, California. The Reverend spent some time in London, England. In 1956 he sailed from New York arriving at Southampton, England on 13 Aug 1956. He is listed as staying at the Grosvenor Hotel in London and stated his occupation as "clergyman". He sailed back to the states on the RMS "Queen Mary" arriving New York.
