Gertrude Abplanalp of Youngsville, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 89 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frederick and Caroline Keonig Hubert, she was born May 11, 1913, in Youngsville. She was the widow of Kenneth Abplanalp.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George K. and Myrna Abplanalp of Youngsville; two sisters, Johanna Mancini of Ithaca and Eva Corigliano of Liberty; two grandchildren, Troy Abplanalp and his wife, Donna, of Youngsville, and Terri Abplanalp Tapper and her husband, Marius, of Brooklyn; two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Kenny; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with Pastor Donald Baker officiating.
Cremation was made at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott.
