Mary was born the eldest child of the 7 children of Captain John, and Jane (Hogg) Partridge. She was born in Navestock, Essex, England, in 1618. Her father was a sea captain, and was sometimes away from home for long periods of time. Mary and her siblings were all born and raised at the family home in Navestock. After the birth of her brother John in 1619, a set of twins (Grizzel and Jane) were born in 1621.
Mary experienced the death of her sister Jane, who died at age 3, in 1624. Mary was only 6 years old at the time. Mary met Edward Kibbe while she was living in Navestock, and he in Exeter, England. Records show that Edward married Mary Partridge (Kibbe) in June of 1639, in Exeter Castle. Edward and Mary, emigrated to the Muddy River area of Boston, known today as Brookline Massachusetts, around 1639. Mary was affiliated with the church in Boston by September 1645.
In 1647, she would learn of the death of her father, who died at sea. Births, Baptisms and Deaths of children born to Edward and Mary are given in Boston and Roxbury records.
No record of Mary's death is listed there. Mary lost her son, John, at age 2, in 1652. Her son Reuben also died at birth that same year. Mary was 34 at the time. In 1658, her daughter Rebecca died at about a year old. The couple would have a total of 14 children together.
Both Mary and Edward are listed as contributors to the fund for the second meeting house in Roxbury, Massachusetts, in 1674. Mary died 10 years earlier in Wakefield, Middlesex, Massachusetts, in 1664. She was about 46 years of age.
Mary's ancestry can be traced back through the Royalty of England, France and Ireland, to the Caesars of Rome, and the sons of David.
