Bergerson, Virginia Ann Age 82 of Green Bay died September 5, 2004.

She was born Nov. 27, 1921 in rural Cedar River, Mich., to the late Edward and Mildred (Pratt) Shampo. Virginia was a graduate of Stephenson High School, Class of 1939. Following high school she moved to Milwaukee and worked as a secretary for the Koehring Company and the Ozaukee Co. Press in Port Washington. During this time she met George Bergerson whom she later married in 1954. Together they moved to Wausau where their first daughter, Mary, was born. Soon afterwards they moved to Easton Township where they raised their family of four daughters. Virginia's interests include sewing, ceramics, card playing, sports viewing and volunteering. She built friendships wherever she lived. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker. Even in her declining years she maintained her gracious spirit. Virginia moved to Florida following the death of her husband in 1977. There she enjoyed living near her four sisters and their families. In 1982 she returned to Green Bay to be near her two daughters and their families.

She is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bob Engel, Circle Pines, MN; Lois Bergerson and Robert J. Auner, Madison; Teresa and Alan Pierquet of Green Bay and Georgia and Bud Basiniski of Grand Junction, CO, her 11 grandchildren: Sam, Alex, Nelson, Lydia, Greg, Jeff, Judy, Gary, Karl, Aimee and Benjamin; one sister, Barbara Prom of Altamonte Springs, FL.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband George, her parents, her brothers Ed, Bud and Francis, her sisters Donna, Phyllis, Joan and Helen.
