Mrs. Melburn (Marie) Whisman was born Anna Marie Kiesby on November 15, 1898 to Erick and Theresa (Becker) Kiesby at Remsen, IA. She grew up in the Larchwood, IA area. On September 13, 1930 she married Melburn Whisman, and for the past 62 years they lived in Sioux Falls. She is survived by a brother, Herman Kiesby of Huron, South Dakota; and two nephews, James M. Kiesby of Marquette, Michigan and Daryl Whisman of Orange, California. She was preceded in death by her husband January 22, 1970, and her parents.
