"Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal" Tupelo, Mississippi Monday, June 14, 1982 WILLIAM FARRAR William "Bill" Farrar, 77, died Saturday afternoon at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Itawamba County and had lived in Tupelo most of his life. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the East Heights Baptist Church. Services will be 3:30 p.m. today at the Funeral Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Roy Lofton, the Rev. Harold Robinson and the Rev. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doshia Robbins Farrar, of Tupelo; two daughter, Mrs. Laverne Clayton and Mrs. Evon Richey, both of Tupelo; three sons, Charles Farrar, Murphy Farrar and James Farrar, all of Tupelo; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby McVey of Saltillo and Mrs. Annie Laura Reese of Osceola, Ark.; a brother, Milburn Farrar of Mantachie; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leroy Belk, Elbert Belk, Odell Clark, Hoyt Richey, D. V. "Junior" Harris, and Guy Harris.
