Mrs. O'Barr Rites Held
Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, May 29, at Macedonia United Methodist Church for Mrs. Susie Adell O'Barr, age 80, who died May 28 at 11:50 am at Houston Hospital. The Rev. Ken Smith officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. She resided at 102 Scott Street.
Pallbearers were James Meadows, Dennis O'Barr, Frankie Miller, Dwayne Davidson, Arlin W Steen, and Chester Williams.
Mrs. O'Barr had lived in Chickasaw county most of her life, having been born here March 26, 1894, the daughter of Jim Wooten and Vickie Davis Wooten. She was a retired housewife, and was the widow of the late Edd O'Barr. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie O'Barr of Houston, and William O'Barr of Woodland; two daughters, Miss Virgia O'Barr of Houston and Mrs. James Beckham of Houston, Texas. Eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial Funeral Home was in charge.
