WILLIAM R. GENEVER, 80, of School Street, a retired toolmaker, died yesterday at Eleanor Slater Hospital, Cranston. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Holmes) Genever. They were married for 61 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert E. and Louisa S. (Aubin) Genever, he had lived in Warwick most of his life. Mr. Genever was a toolmaker for the Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. in Providence and North Kingstown before retiring in 1983. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Paul R. Genever of Florence, Ky. The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
